What it is
Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) and Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) are thin-film coating processes that bond an extremely hard, thin layer to a component in a vacuum chamber. The result is a finish that reads as solid colour or deep dark chrome, yet resists scratching, corrosion and fading far better than plating.

The process
1. Surface preparation. Components are finished and cleaned to the exact roughness the coating requires — the single biggest driver of a flawless result.
2. Deposition. In vacuum, the coating is grown layer by layer to a precisely controlled thickness and colour.
3. Inspection. Every batch is checked for adhesion, colour match and coverage against your reference standard.
